VeryBad.Dog

Terms of use

In effect from 23 October 2026.

The short version

This is Alex's personal site and portfolio. Look around, play the games, and ask the portfolio assistant about his work. Don't abuse it. The assistant is an AI and can be wrong; nothing it says is a promise from Alex. Using the site means you accept these terms.

Who runs it

VeryBad.Dog (verybad.dog) is run by VeryBadDog LLC, Alex’s company, a Delaware limited liability company operating in Washington State. "We" and "us" in these terms mean VeryBadDog LLC. Contact: privacy@verybad.dog.

Agreeing to these terms

By using the site you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy, which says what we collect and why. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. You need to be at least 13 to use it, and the assistant is meant for adults. If you use the site for an employer or another organisation, you're agreeing for it too.

What the site is

A portfolio of Alex's work, browser games, pages shared with people the owner invites, and a private area for the owner only. Shared pages are for the people they were shared with; please don't pass on their links or content. The private area is not offered to anyone else, and trying to get into any part of the site without permission is not allowed.

We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time, and we don't promise support or that any feature will stay.

The portfolio assistant

  • It is an AI. Its answers are generated, curated for this portfolio, and may contain mistakes.
  • It is not a reference, an employer's statement, or an offer, and it can't make commitments on Alex's behalf. Check anything that matters with Alex directly.
  • It answers only from a curated summary of Alex's work.
  • It has small daily limits and may be switched off at any time.

What you send the assistant

  • Please don't send anything confidential, sensitive, or that you don't have the right to share, such as another person's details or your employer's secrets.
  • You keep whatever rights you have in what you type. You give us permission to send it to our AI provider and process it to answer you, as the privacy policy describes. We don't keep it.
  • If you email us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

Acceptable use

Don't:

  • try to break or overload the site, or get around its limits or security;
  • use automated tools to send messages to the assistant;
  • use the assistant to produce harassing, unlawful or harmful content;
  • submit other people's personal information;
  • use the site in a way that breaks the law or anyone else's rights.

Suspension and ending access

We may block, limit or end anyone's access, including an invitation or a share link, at any time, especially when these rules are broken. You can stop using the site whenever you like, and invited people can delete their account themselves. The parts of these terms that by their nature should last (our materials, no warranty, liability, governing law) keep applying.

Our materials

The site's design, the VeryBad.Dog and Jobs.Dog names and marks, the mascot art, the games and the writing belong to Alex. You may link to the site and quote short passages with attribution. Please don't copy the art or the games.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, write to privacy@verybad.dog with: the work you own, where it appears on the site, how to reach you, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised and that your notice is accurate. We'll look into it and remove material where that's the right thing to do.

Links and other services

The site links to other sites and relies on outside services (hosting, the AI provider, email). We don't control other sites and aren't responsible for them; their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

No warranty

The site is provided as-is and as available, without guarantees that it is available, accurate, secure or error-free, and, to the extent the law allows, without any implied warranty (such as of fitness for a particular purpose).

Liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • we aren't liable, and neither is Alex, for losses from using the site or relying on the assistant's answers, including indirect losses such as lost profits, data or opportunities;
  • if we are found liable to you anyway, our total liability for all claims is limited to US$50.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as for fraud or intentional harm, or takes away rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute about them will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Washington. Before going to court, please write to privacy@verybad.dog so we can try to sort it out.

General

  • These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
  • If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • If we don't enforce a term straight away, we haven't given it up.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a successor that runs the site.

Changes

These terms may change; the date at the top and the change log below will say when. A change takes effect when it is posted here, and applies from then on, not to a dispute already under way. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.
